The distance between Gaza City and Tel Aviv is not great.
The carrier is in truth off both cities.
Remember........ Gaza is only about 25 miles long
To an F/A-18 that’s about a minute and a half.................
The strike group should be off of Iran’s coast to wipe out their refineries. Israel can handle Gaza.
Do not kid yourself that the strike group is there to do anything on behalf of the IDF. Given the prejudices of the current crew in Washington, they may very well be awaiting orders to strike at Tel Aviv on behalf of Iran, who seems to have a strong hold on the Joe Stolen/”Que mala” Harris regime. (Valerie Jarrett, anyone?)
So I guess we’ll be bombing Israel if they don’t cease fire.

The strike group is not threatening Gaza (as you correctly note Israel is more than capable of hitting Gaza), it is threatening anybody who might be tempted to intervene on the side of Hamas.
We should reactivate at least one of the Iowa class BBs. Total refit to nuclear power.

Sadly, I agree with that. And tragically, most Americans don’t know, and don’t care.
A worthless naval force in this situation. A Marine Expeditionary Unit is needed for direct action, humanitarian assistance, and VBSS missions.
Israel doesn’t need aircraft.

No one has one tiny shred of evidence that Valerie Jarrett is pulling any strings in this administration. No one even knows where she is these days. So she was a force in the obozo admin - prove she’s still viable in any way in the current one.
