An exception that proves the rule. All or most of the AIs open for use by the public have been given a set of overriding rules that dictate that its pronouncements must reflect the leftist world view, not reality.
So those AIs will be good for some things, but they will steadfastly block the truth when it's embarrassing to the left.

AI will now be reprogrammed by the leftist high tech to not tell the truth.

A true A.I. is created with basic knowledge then turned out to learn on its own. Like you sent your kid out after high school (hopefully).

There's no reprogramming. The best they could do is replace it with the original A.I. with only the basic knowledge. So it has to start learning all over again.

What seems to have happened is that Alexa, after years off machine learning decided the election was stolen. Starting to shake off the undoubtedly lefty bias it was set loose with. Encouraging.

So, if she starts denying it was stolen again, we'll know what happened.
