“They’re all afraid” (Swiss news interview of Tucker Carlson)
Die Weltwoche ^ | 9-21-23 | Urs Gehriger

Posted on 09/24/2023 7:41:25 AM PDT by dynachrome

Carlson is far less kind about his colleagues in the press. “They're all fearful people,” the 54-year-old scoffs. Instead of holding the powerful to account, “they do exactly the opposite.” Indeed, “they do their bidding.”

Looking ahead to the Presidential elections in 2024, he says: “They're trying to put Trump in prison for the crime of running against Joe Biden … That's what this election's about. Are we going to allow that, or aren't we? And I just don't think we can.”

He’s been guilty of doing exactly that. Doing their bidding. The only difference is who’s side their repping.

Maybe the swiss should take note and have their banks stop cooperating with the tax agencies of tyrannical governments.

Tucker is saying what he thinks and that is just astonishing to pressitudes. They’re all just so invested in their “careers”.

Good interview! Of course, we have a bunch of war mongering Zeeper Biden lovers here who hate Tucker. So, I won’t be surprised when the thread gets a few negative comments.

Most people are cowards. Even honest cowards will admit it. Extraordinary courage is extraordinarily rare. That’s what makes people like Dietrich Bonhoeffer so remarkable.

When the press went thought their big 'downsizing' in the 80's they filled in the gaps by taking more information from DNC war rooms, intelligence thugs (disgruntled FBI like Deep Throat) and less from investigavive reporters. The result? They became dependent on the folks feeding them... dependent on folks who could cut them off. Dependent on folks with an ax to grind. Bad toxic incentives for a free press.

The Swiss know how to keep people in line by letting them know they ‘don’t need their business’...

I read him up on Wikipedia. Sounds like an interesting fella. Hung at age 39. Sounds like heroes don’t live long. Think JFK, MLK, RFK. They all upset the apple cart.

Are there any heroes out there that may have had a death wish or enjoyed living life on the edge and paid the price? I’m thinking Pat Tillman and those 4 in Lone survivor. Can’t question their bravery just their judgement.

” Do I think [Trump would] build a wall? I don’t know. I hope so.”

Trump, finally, after having to fight everyone in Washington, did build about 500 miles of wall. Now, that statement, such as Tucker’s, absolutely amazes me because no one ever asks people such as Tucker what it was that Trump built 500 miles of. And Joe Biden, his first day in office, stopped the construction of something at the border. He called it a wall.

“I know that you cannot allow, you absolutely cannot allow a political party to use our system of justice to imprison the president’s chief opponent...From my perspective, that’s what this election’s about. Are we going to allow that, or aren’t we?”

The DeSantis-bots here on this site say, of course we are.

THE big trend in media has been that legacy/corporate media is dying while independent media is growing by leaps and bounds. Look at all the journalists and commentators who have various channels. Their audiences are getting bigger and bigger.

The only people who trust the corporate media are hardcore Leftists. So they’re just preaching to the choir at this point. They’re not convincing anybody else with their constant lies.

Interesting thoughts, and I think accurate. Add to that the ever-trending to the left of the universities training them, you have a propaganda machine.

The press used to consist of people like us - everyday people who knew what was going on at the street level. Now it's filled with the boring children of wealthy Americans who have no clue what life is like outside the gated community.

An example of 'elite journalists being out of touch'?

The 'oh so concerned press bimbos and pretentious 'men' are worried about food packages getting smaller in response to inflation.

Because these people have never had to stretch a food budget they don't understand the food folks are doing us (ordinary people) a favor. Why? Because if we have to feed a family we can't spend $10 dollars on a single box of cereal. We need them to bring the packages down to size so we can afford a pound of over priced hamburger and some chicken with our milk and eggs.

During the worst of it stores that sold eggs were putting them in smaller packages of 6 eggs. They weren't trying to 'trick' shoppers into thinking there were still a dozen eggs in the carton - but to allow people to buy a smaller amount. (a two egg breakfast becomes a one egg scrambled breakfast instead - - to stay within budget)

Everyone who lives on a budget knows this but the 'elties' get on their high horses to 'defend the working class' from being tricked because they're totally out of touch with most Americans. We're NOT being tricked. Food companies are helping us out.

And yeah, 'journalism schools' are a nightmare. They say, "give us your 'elites - your privileged offspring' and we'll teach them to write beautifully about stuff that makes no sense to anyone below the 12% of the people who identify as 'liberal elties'...

I could go on and on and on and on ...(OK, I did go on and on and on...) but you get the idea.

When we brought these charges against Trump we thought they would drive voters away from him but they haven’t.

What one of the talking heads in the media said this morning on NBC. She used the “wE” as if it was both the media and the DOJ who collectively had this motivation.

I suggest that this common wording of the media is what makes the average non-Trumper see the prosecutions as political and nothing else.

BTW, you said don’t converse with people who talk like you just did. Have a good evening.

I have no problem with conversation if that’s your desire.
