Ladies and gentlemen!
Glad to take part in the Summit.
It might seem a bit strange to discuss sustainable development when the only sustainable thing is that this world is unpredictable.
But it is not the case. Our solidarity can make things predictable.
Ukraine will never give up its role as a guarantor of global food security. Nobody expected from us that we could press the Russian fleet out of our Black Sea waters, providing more room for the Black Sea Grain Initiative as well as humanitarian initiative – Grain from Ukraine. And the results are truly remarkable.
Ukraine food exports have reached the shores of Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Kenya, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, Somalia, Tunisia, Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Iraq, Oman, Pakistan, Türkiye, Yemen, and others.
The roads from intermediary ports have carried our products to Ethiopia and Sudan.
This was a total of 32 million tons of food. This is 32 million tons less chaos.
I thank all those leaders who supported our export programs. Thank you very much, guys! We have made it. And nothing prevents us from reaching far more ambitious goals.
Ukraine proposes a very clear action. To prevent any turmoil on the global food market, we can establish hubs for millions tons of grain per year in especially sensitive areas, for example in ports of Africa. We already started to negotiate such possibilities. No matter what the problem is, cooperation can give decisions. And the world has all necessary resources to sort all problems out and at the same time to push the global development. Ukraine at war shows remarkable results, the world in cooperation can make so much more. Not talking, not waiting – acts change the world, acts translate goals into life. And the life we need depends only on us.

The Head of State thanked the UN for the efforts to minimize the consequences of the full-scale Russian aggression and expressed hope for further active assistance from the Organization in the swift response to the pressing needs of the Ukrainian people in the humanitarian sphere.
The parties discussed the prospects for the resumption of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
The President thanked António Guterres for supporting Ukraine’s efforts to ensure the stability of food markets and exports.

In New York, where the 78th session of the UN General Assembly is taking place, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
The two leaders discussed in detail a number of important bilateral issues, including cooperation in civil defense and the protection of human lives.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed his interlocutor about the situation at the front and the air strikes, including those using Iranian-made drones, that Russia continues to carry out against peaceful Ukrainian cities, civilian facilities and port infrastructure. The President of Ukraine expressed concern over the increasingly close military cooperation between Russia and Iran.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday, 19 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on other states to join in preparations for a summit on Ukraine’s Peace Formula.

Zelenskyy noted that he presented Ukraine’s Peace Formula last year at the G20 summit. This formula in general terms represents a way to end Russia’s war against Ukraine, and Zelenskyy plans to present it at the Security Council meeting on Wednesday, 20 September.

“Over the past year, the Peace Formula became the basis to update the existing security architecture. Now we can bring back to life the UN Charter and guarantee the full power for the rules-based world order,” Zelenskyy said.
He added that the Peace Formula is fully or partially supported by over 140 states and international organizations, and its provisions could become the basis for ending other world conflicts.
“We launched the format of meetings between national security advisers and diplomatic representatives. Important talks and consultations will be held in Hiroshima, in Copenhagen and in Jeddah on the implementation of the Peace Formula. And we are preparing a Global Peace Summit. And, please, I invite all of you, all of you who do not tolerate any aggression, to jointly prepare the summit,” Zelenskyy said.

Lithuania presents new assistance package to Ukraine

On Tuesday 19 September, Arvydas Anušauskas, Lithuania’s Minister of National Defence, took part in a meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group and met his newly appointed Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umierov for the first time.

At the Ramstein-format meeting, Anušauskas also presented the latest package of military support for Ukraine, which contains “detonation systems, naval surveillance radars and ammunition for Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launchers.”
In addition, starting this September, Ukrainian Leopard tanks will be repaired in Lithuania.
The Lithuanian minister also signed a declaration of support for the coalition to support Ukraine in the field of information technology, or IT coalition, which will assist with cybersecurity for Ukraine’s Armed Forces.
Anušauskas separately noted the importance of the demining coalition which is now being set up, and called on other countries to join “and contribute training, equipment or finance”.

Germany has announced another assistance package for Ukraine, pledging 400 million Euros in weapons and aid. It includes ammunition, armoured vehicles, mine-clearing systems and supplies for fighting through winter.
Meanwhile representatives of more than 50 countries are gathering at the US air base at Ramstein in southern Germany. It’s the fifth time the western allies have met to discuss their support for Kyiv in its defense against Russia’s invasion. Ukraine is expected to make another appeal for the delivery of long-range weapons, including cruise missiles from Germany.
Germany has already delivered some heavy weapons to Ukraine. After initial resistance, Berlin agreed to approve the delivery of its Leopard heavy tanks to help Kyiv fight off Russia’s invasion. At least 10 are already on the ground, with up to 100 to be sent by several countries. DW’s Max Zander has been to Southern Ukraine to see how they’re making a difference on the frontline.

After Kiev’s offensive plans targeted Crimea and Russian settlements, the war shifted back towards Donbass and Zaporizhia, leading to an increase in trench clashes.
Of course, there was also military activity in the Kherson direction. But today the clashes were most intense on the critical Donetsk-Zaporizhia front line. The busiest front lines in Donetsk are still the southern flanks of the city of Bakhmut.
After liberating Andriivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also held the initiative in Klischiivka, so they continued to advance freely in these areas. Even south of Andriivka, in Kurdiumivka, Ukrainian troops’ offensive operations and additional military build-ups attracted attention.
But today’s most notable offensive took place south of Kurdiumivka, exactly southwest of the Bakhmut settlement.
In this area is the settlement of Svitlodarsk. The Ukrainians had last destroyed a Russian-controlled UAV base in the village of Luhanske, south of this settlement. A few days after this attack, today, the Ukrainians again focused on the Svitlodarsk-Luhanske directions. The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck Russian army positions in occupied Svitlodarsk, 20 km southeast of Bakhmut, with two JDAM bombs. Footage of the attack, captured by drone, was first published by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Kremlin propaganda lies that the strike supposedly hit a civilian target. However, this is not true.
A Russian occupier recorded this striking moment from the area. According to him, he and his comrades-in-arms were in the building that was attacked. He himself complained that they had lost their vehicle there. The Russian soldier in the video said, “How could we not be buried there? The cars were smashed. Also in the background of the video you can hear these shouts. Are there 200s? Are there 300s? These terms are military terminology for dead and wounded military personnel.
So these images and video recordings are proof that a large number of Russian soldiers were liquidated in the Ukrainian JDAM attacks. Following the Ukrainian attack on Svitlodarsk with special weapons and bombs, Russia continued to post pictures of the situation in the region. Kremlin officials reported that security measures had been taken in the city and warned that these attacks would continue.
Indeed, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been continuing storm attacks both in Donetsk and Zaporizhia. Following the offensive operation in Donetsk, this week the Ukrainians continued to move towards the Zaporizhia trench lines.
The latest battle analysis revealed that Ukraine has focused on a 2.6-kilometer or 1.6-mile-long section of Russia’s multi-layered defensive lines around Robotyne, where it is still clearing Russians from these critical lines.
Earlier this month, the Ukrainian military reported that its forces had broken through the first and second defense lines around Robotyne, south of the Ukrainian-held city of Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia. However, Russian troops are still believed to be holding out for a second chance, albeit in small groups. The fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are outnumbered in the region will not turn this situation into a risk factor for Kiev. Kiev officials claimed that there will be no trace of Russian troops in the region within a few days.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that its troops continue to attack Russian positions towards Melitopol, causing significant losses in manpower and equipment of the occupation troops and forcing the enemy to withdraw from the occupied positions. Russian concern here is actually quite obvious. The Kremlin is worried about Ukrainian forces advancing on Melitopol after the town of Tokmak. That is why the Russians are maintaining military preparations in Tokmak.
According to the UK Ministry of Defense, Russian forces in southern Ukraine are strengthening their defenses around the cornerstone town of Tokmak in Zaporizhzhia, possibly due to growing concern over Kiev’s pressure on Russian lines in the annexed region. Located about 10 miles behind the existing front lines in Zaporizhzhia, Tokmak lies on Ukraine’s route to the occupied city of Melitopol and ultimately to the Sea of Azov.
In a post on social media, the British government said that Tokmak is set to become the cornerstone of Russia’s second main line of defense. The British government added that improvements to Tokmak’s defenses likely reflect Russia’s growing concern about tactical infiltration into Ukraine’s first main line of defense in the north. Ivan Fedorov, the exiled Ukrainian mayor of Melitopol, said earlier this week that Russian forces had established checkpoints and anti-tank hedgehogs in Tokmak.
China vs Iran is a stretch, as the geography just doesn’t work.
But China vs India is highly likely. In that case we should be pro-India.
