Why does everyone say it was ‘accidentally’ shot down? Why couldn’t Clinton just wanted to get rid of somebody?

The center fuel tank being over-pressurized in high heat is one thing. But a spark from a "short circuit" caused by high and low voltage wire harnesses being in close proximity to each other...igniting the fuel? Not buying it.
That evening the New York TV stations carried many interviews with witnesses who saw a missile ascend before the explosion of TWA 800.
These subsequently disappeared into the memory hole.
My co worker’s brother was flying a single engine Cessna into East Hampton. He saw the contrail and exhaust going UP and saw the explosion. He made his report to FAA, NTSB, and the FEEBS. He was thanked for his report and never contacted again.
The only thing that keeps me from believing all this os that James Kalstrom said there was no missile. And Kalstrom hated the Clintons and supported Trump.

It is not a conspiracy theory that there is prolific evidence of cover up.
Vast numbers of witnesses reported the same thing you describe. Wouldn’t it be possible to pinpoint the locations of each witness at the time, and the directions they believe they saw the rising light originate from? Triangulation should allow fixing a near exact point of origin. I’d bet such an analysis was done, but deep sixed.

I talked to two commercial airline pilots in the area witnessing a rocket, missile going up from the bay striking the aircraft, they filed reports and the FBI never contacted them.
It was NOT a fuel tank explosion, there are plenty of eyewitnesses describing a missile. Many of those I know in the aviation field know it was a cover up.
