I bet that’s where I first saw it, too! Day of the Triffids was the most memorable though. LOL. A couple classmates got to be in the audience once despite the algebra teacher that threatened an F if they missed the test. Happy memories...!

“Lifeforce” is another of my all-time favorites.

Day of the Triffids is definitely a memorable movie.

I think I saw it when I was 8 to 10 years old.

I would never have been able to get in to H & Cā€™s audience.

I watched them on cable way out in the flat lands of Western Ohio.

Life force was Great, not only because Captain Picard was in it but it also had that Fabulous Nekkid woman running around!šŸ¤£

Me too. Back in the 1970s, it was one of those movies they only played on TV at 2AM in the morning. But I really wanted to see it, so one night I stayed up and watched it.

The best version of Day of the Triffids is the mini-series from 40 years ago. The whole thing was on Youtube several years ago, but I’m not sure it is now. Here’s a review of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HSo9w6souM

The more recent mini-series version is terrible.

There use be an app called Nowhere Man on ROKU that was a direct access to archive. org. There’s a great database of music, softwars and movies on that site. I used it a lot.

You don't remember the 1927 newspaper reports that spoke of a "hideous dwarf" appearing to people on "Hob's Lane" when work was being performed on the underground.

Perhaps he looked something like this...

Your pic no worky and no, wasn’t around circa 1927 nor have I seen any reports you describe. Assuming the pic was of Robert Reich

Switched browsers, I see it now. It does appear to be Robert Reich

Heheh. A bit taller than Reich. And more commanding.

I just checked. It was in the movie at the 23-minute mark (the part about the 1927 report of hideous dwarves).
