Nattokinase can reduce the area of atherosclerotic plaque. Also, it has been shown that nattokinase can reduce atherosclerosis to a greater extent than the statin therapy (powerful lipid-lowering drugs). Nattokinase inhibits aggregation of platelets, additionally supressing the blood clot formation.
“Natto” is a Japanese food made of fermented soy beans. While as such it does not taste particularly good, the slime that forms between the beans, the nattokinase, can be dried and processed into a tasteless powder, and is taken in pill form.
It is good both in safely dissolving blood clots and atherosclerotic plaque, and preventing their reformation, so it is an inexpensive treatment against clots, ischemic stroke and some types of heart attack.
Is this similar to roasted soy bean powder? I bought a bag of it awhile back.
Nothing to stop anyone from taking them both!
