McDonalds unsweetened iced tea is pretty good if it fresh.

But this was a video on TikTok! It MUST be true! Surely no one would fake a video just for some views and interwebs credit.

Its called sweet tea....how does one think its gets to be sweet. Not to discount the health aspects of consuming anything McDonalds but why is this so groundbreaking? I doubt this is even the sweetest thing on the menu.

Orange Juice is worse than a can of Coke in terms of sugar.

I only drink unsweetened tea. Two times in the last decade or so, something strange happened with McDonald’s tea making me steer away from theirs. I let my unfinished tea sit over night (do it all time). But the next day upon sipping, the tea turned to slime, pure okra style. Very nasty and I have no idea why that happened and it was only Micky-dees and no one else’s.

Unlike tea, coffee has a strong, assertive taste to it. I always add a splash of half-and-half and the coffee still comes thru loud and clear. At my local in-store Starbucks the other day, after requesting my usual hot coffee with cream, I asked the clerk what percentage of customers order plain coffee vs. their elaborate coffee-ish dessert drinks. She said maybe 10% order regular coffee. By far the diabetes-inducing concoctions are more popular. In fact, as I waited for my coffee, another customer stepped up and asked if she could please have more caramel squirted into her gigantic domed cup. The clerk was happy to oblige.

But they all are problems.

Oh yeah. Being T2 myself, I do not drink soda pop...diet or otherwise and have a limited carb input.

Cheese is my one true weakness. But...steak, poultry, fish, pork, venison and any other protein you can name...I'm all in.

Sorry, but not true.

8 oz of OJ is 18 grans of Sugar

8 oz of Coke is 25 grams of Sugar

Yes, fruit juices are high in sugar, but not nearly as high as soda.

People watching their sugar often greatly understimate the amount of sugar that can be in their beverages. It can be enormous.

````````````````````````````
Thirteen teaspoons in a twelve oz. soda.
I’m impressed that they use actual sugar.
They put sugar in everything now, they want everyone dead. They’re even finding sugar in salt now.
He mangled it in the ways that made him real to ordinary people.
I’ve never seen sales numbers, but I’d bet he was an effective spokes person for them!
I consider anything bought from fast food establishments to be highly unhealthy. It’s why I rarely go there. This really shouldn’t be a surprise.
Starbucks uses beans that have been over-roasted. A properly roasted Colombian requires no addition, even in a French press.
Excess sugar doesn’t cause diabetes. Diabetes is a genetic flaw in DNA code. Mostly hereditary (think Mexican).
Yeah. Jackie Mason had a line about paying $5 for burnt coffee in a paper cup.
