Quality tomato’s really have not existed in many years. I love a good old fashioned tomato. But they are puke garbage these days. I don’t know if it was genetic tampering or the fact that they mostly grown in hot houses, but they should even be called tomato’s anymore. They are just some kind of flavorless cellulose.
Most commercial vegetables in the United States today are bioengineered for pest resistance, quick growth, and shelf longevity.
I’m not sure I’d even know what a real tomato tastes like unless I travel to Europe.
