The woman charged with drunkenly crashing into a golf cart, killing a just-married South Carolina bride, was visibly upset in court Tuesday as a judge refused to spring her from jail.
Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, breathed heavily and looked close to tears when she appeared at the proceedings via video.
The New Jersey native was dressed in a striped prison jumpsuit as Circuit Judge Michael Nettles ruled that she will remain in custody while awaiting trial on a slew of charges related to the April 28 wreck that killed Samantha Miller, 34, and left the groom and two others seriously injured.
“[Komoroski] didn’t just kill my child,” Miller’s mother, Lisa, said tearfully during the hearing.
“She killed all of us.”

Agree.
I’m not defending the drunk woman in any way, however, why should it be legal to drive golf-cart type vehicles on any road traveled by full-sized ICE of EV autos?
IOW, golf carts shouldn’t be street legal. And wherever the carts can operate should be off-limits to regular traffic. If the drunk woman was driving where autos are probited, that just adds another strike against her.
It was a beach resort.
Cars and carts everywhere.
I guess we can see the idiocy of having both share the road. I'd rather walk at knight.
.....there would be virtually no response time for a perfectly sober driver in a car going 40. It is not a good idea to drive a golf cart at night.

A perfectly sober driver would never be doing 40 on a private drive at a beach resort.
She hit them from behind. It’s estimated she was driving 65mph, the golf cart had lights, etc. The speed limit for areas like that is 25mph, geared for golf carts and designed that way.
She may be, but I don’t think being upset realizing you are staying in jail is an unnatural reaction for anyone.
Cliché time. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
She will be an old woman when she gets out, if ever.
She may not..................
It happened to her because she is a terrible person who did a terrible thing.
In Florida she’d get 25 years without possibility of parole...............
I’m thinking she might get 8 years. Obviously she didn’t mean to do so and she wasn’t aware of her victim, so first and second degree murder isn’t an issue I’m betting.
It should be a homicide case, or something along that lines.
And whats with the quotes around “drunk driver”. She was drunk driving. Her BAC was 3x the legal limit.
” (she) questioned why ‘this happened to me’ “
Pathetic. How horrible must be parents be to have raised such a narcissistic princess.
All things considered, Walking while idiots drive drunk only increases your chance of death over being in a golf cart.
The catch and release/slap on the wrist policy America has regarding drunk driving is why we have 13,000 dead Americans due to DWI each year.
In Florida DUI Manslaughter is taken very seriously.
A couple of years ago here, a local 18 year old and his best friend were celebrating their graduation from high school. Got drunk and ran into a tree and killed his best friend. He got 25 years and will be 43 when he gets out......................
It’s called narcissism. She got it bad.........
My thoughts exactly.
She’s fortunate she wasn’t sentenced to death, which she should’ve been!
Very sick, I don’t think this B is even a human being!
Back in the day I would have used this for contests on who could get the highest reading.
