The woman charged with drunkenly crashing into a golf cart, killing a just-married South Carolina bride, was visibly upset in court Tuesday as a judge refused to spring her from jail.
Jamie Lee Komoroski, 25, breathed heavily and looked close to tears when she appeared at the proceedings via video.
The New Jersey native was dressed in a striped prison jumpsuit as Circuit Judge Michael Nettles ruled that she will remain in custody while awaiting trial on a slew of charges related to the April 28 wreck that killed Samantha Miller, 34, and left the groom and two others seriously injured.
“[Komoroski] didn’t just kill my child,” Miller’s mother, Lisa, said tearfully during the hearing.
“She killed all of us.”

If you’re going to drink, you need to anticipate what you might do. I work at the police station. When they get off work, many go to the lounge to decompress. On most shifts, I usually have a couple come down and use one of the blow kits to get a reading of how intoxicated they, so they can see if they can drive.
That has to be the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen. She thinks HER life is over? How sick is that?
How do they get to your station? Walk? Somebody else drive them? Or drive themselves?
Portable BAC instruments are cheap and available on Amazon. Of course, if you get too blotto, you won’t use one.
The woman in this article makes me sick. She thinks SHE is the victim!?
Allegedly killed her?.....so we’re not sure Samantha Miller is dead?
Journalism is truly fraught with mental midgets. SMH
Her life is over, in terms of having an enjoyable life. Who will hire her, once she gets out? She is a felon and unhireable.
Technically, her life isn’t over because she can go on welfare when she gets out, but her is over, in a real sense, because she won’t be able to rebuild a life when she gets out.
“The New Jersey native”
I think I found the problem
They would probably have worked out the details of designated driving or call a cab. They would leave their car in the lot and pick it up the next day.
She’s definitely being all about her.
She strikes me as the type of person that would start a gofundme.
Your points are true, but, poor Samantha Miller’s life is REALLY over. All because of Komoroski.
When I was young and stupid, I drove completely wasted on several occasions. Never once did I put a scratch on the car.
Now that I’m old and wise, I NEVER, EVER, get behind the wheel once I pop the top on the first one, whether that’s my truck or my golf cart..
I don’t know the details of the incident but...I can’t figure out how an automobile and a golf cart were sharing the same road, avenue, pathway or whatever.
Not excusing the girl, but it’s hard to imagine how pitch black the roads are out there. Assuming the golf cart was going 20 mph, there would be virtually no response time for a perfectly sober driver in a car going 40. It is not a good idea to drive a golf cart at night.
My second niece had an encounter with a drunk driver right after she got her license at 16. Her only choices: Crash into the drunk woman going the wrong way head on or hit a brick wall in front of a subdivison. She chose the wall but was not badly hurt. Only knocked unconscious briefly. The woman was caught and arrested. God and the angels were watching as we can read in Psalm 139.
Indicative of most of the under 35 set. Narcissism on steroids.
A bar in the town where I went to college had the idea off having an intoxilizer installed as a courtesy for patrons so they could check their levels and decide if they needed a cab. It lasted about two weekends until it became central to drinking contests to see who could blow the highest.
You’re right, even a limited life is still life.
Good! She needs to stay locked up!
Watch, she’ll probably walk with a minor sentence. DUI’s who kill will most likely at most spend 5 years with time off for good behavior. And her life is ruined? Srsly?
