Probably my favorite solo McCartney song.

Uncle Albert was the biggest hit.

Linda Eastman from Eastman/Kodak fame did a pretty good recording, also.

I know Linda(RIP) was not part of the Eastman/Kodak business, she was the daughter of a New York lawyer, but it's fun to keep an urban legend going.

An incredibly beautiful woman and a very good mother. 100% natural woman. Very sad she died so young.

It’s still one of my favorite albums, best thing Macca did since leaving The Beatles, every song on it is great.

I love “Monkberry Moon Delight”.

“it’s fun to keep an urban legend going”

Or to get one going. Who invented Polyester? Two female chemists: Polly and Esther.

Why are police called cops? It’s an acronym for Constables On Patrol. (Actually, it’s due to their copper buttons.)

Linda Eastman was not related to the Eastman Kodak family. Her father’s real name was Epstein and had it changed to Eastman for whatever reason.

Supposedly this song was meant as a shot against John.

The title song; Ram, has always been one of my favorites.
It’s short and very catchy, sung with a ukelele strumming and heavy percussion.

Dear Boy is a great song, would have been right at home on a Beatles record.

And I do think for this album Linda’s backing vocals worked. I know folks made fun of her singing, especially live, but it did the job here.

Too Many Puppies, as though Primus sucks, it’s a better remix of the themes.

The layered harmonies are nice.
There is something quite...satisfying about that song, including the last wave of vocalizations “Ba-ba-ba-...Ba-ba-ba” at a raised key, ending in one loud piano chord, ending the movement like an exclamation point.

——————
Too many people breaching practices
Don’t let them tell you what you wanna be
Too many people holding back
This is crazy babe, it’s not like me

A shot at Preaching “all we are saying is give peace a chance?”

Yes, Ram is a quirky wonderful album. And “Monkberry Moon Delight” is my favorite cut too. While McCartney could consistently put out melodic masterpieces, he could also put out some real hard-edged rockers. In fact, I consider “Too Many People” to be one of the hardest, edgiest rockers of all time. Especially near the end of the song. It’s downright shocking even. Some rock journalists didn’t know what to make of it. One journalist even called it violent. I kind of agree. It’s so hard-edged, it’s violent!

But I sure enjoy it.

I think these lyrics are most definitely about John and Yoko.

Too many people sharing party lines
Too many people never sleeping late
Too many people paying parking fines
Too many hungry people losing weight

That was your first mistake
You took your lucky break and broke it in two
Now what can be done for you?
You broke it in two

...

That was your last mistake
I find my love awake and waiting to be
Now what can be done for you?
She’s waiting for me, oh
