I live in Leesburg and go to his church there. This is a democrat leaning area—but not overwhelmingly democrat like fairfax county or worse — arlington county.
Hung Cao ran a vigorous campaign— lost his race by a wide margin. It wasn’t close. (I don’t think there were any games played with the vote in this district.)
By november 2024 the USA may be so changed that Hung Cao will win. But if things are the same as 2022—then—judging by his 2022 performance— his chances of winning imho are much less.
Certainly a tactical error running in that district.
*IF* he can fund and run a quality state-wide campaign, he’ll have a better shot.
Love to see a campaign appearance with him and Vivek together ... and watch the braintrust call them racist ...
