Can't copy and paste from the article so here's the link. It's pretty intriguing. Sadly this may be the closest we get to having The Winds of Winter, it's been twelve years since the last Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire book. And Martin isn't getting any younger.

Please no one do this to Tolkien.

George RR Martin forfeited the series to the TeeVee scriptwriters.
And they blew it up.

And don’t even think about doing this to C.S Lewis!

And the books aren't getting any better. AGoT was a fine start and ACoK and ASoS were each better than the last. But a Feast for Crows was bad and A Dance of Dragons was worse. And now Martin seems to be struggling with a complete lack of motivation to finish his books, combined with some sort of massive writer's block.
Maybe not finishing TWoW and whatever the last book will be titled is for the best.

He got paid. I started watching the show and it was decent. I started to read the books and I just didn’t have the patience to finish even one. I had a set of four paperbacks in a box. I got somewhere to the point where aria chased her wolf away and kaitlin was ia wandering dead corpse and I couldn’t read any more. They were way slow paced and not that exciting. I left them sitting for a decade and finally put them in the donate. After HBO let those two morons produce their committee collaborations I swore that I will never subscribe to HBO again. I invested 10 years into it and in the last five episodes they retroactively destroyed it all the way back to the beginning. If anyone ever asks me about it I say don’t bother.

This is a BIG “uh oh” moment for writers seeking to sell novels.

Totally agree. I suspect he’s not really trying to finish. The writer’s block has hold.

The last season by HBO was messed up, but the books were fantastic until you realized it was a dead story and you had little idea of how it would end.

I've tried this and got similar results. The AI needs to be fed the five books, otherwise it falls to the show.
Jon can't be in the first chapter because he's dead. Daenerys can't be in Meereen, she's in the Dothraki Sea, presumably on her way to Vaes Dothrak.
