CNN has exclusively obtained the audio recording of the 2021 meeting in Bedminster, New Jersey, where President Donald Trump discusses holding secret documents he did not declassify.
The recording, which first aired on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” includes new details from the conversation that is a critical piece of evidence in special counsel Jack Smith’s indictment of Trump over the mishandling of classified information, including a moment when Trump seems to indicate he was holding a secret Pentagon document with plans to attack Iran.
“These are the papers,” Trump says in the audio recording, while he’s discussing the Pentagon attack plans, a quote that was not included in the indictment.
In the two-minute audio recording, Trump and his aides also joke about Hillary Clinton’s emails after the former president says that the document was “secret information.”
“Hillary would print that out all the time, you know. Her private emails,” Trump’s staffer said.
“No, she’d send it to Anthony Weiner,” Trump responded, referring to the former Democratic congressman, prompting laughter in the room.

It wasn’t DoJ that leaked this but it just as easily could have been the “journalists” who we’re recording him in the first place as well: “The audio recording comes from a July 2021 interview Trump gave at his Bedminster resort for people working on the memoir of Mark Meadows, Trump’s former chief of staff. The special counsel’s indictment alleges that those in attendance – a writer, publisher and two of Trump’s staff members – were shown classified information about the plan of attack on Iran.”
It’s likely they’d have kept copies as well.
Why Trump would cer think he could trust anyone in the media is beyond me.

After the Pentagon Papers, having foreign nationals throughout our government, the way past Presidents , Vice Presidents, Secretary of State, other politicians have been treated when they have government documents.
Why is this idiocy even news in 2023?

Are those all of the documents? From what I saw at Mar-a-lago, there was more. Dumping those documents like that seems like a set-up for a President who would be ignorant of that set-up.
More bad Biden news is about to drop. They always leak or do something to trump as a distraction.

He’s not literally showing them the papers like “hey come read this.” He’s using the shuffled papers which just turned up as a prop saying, “I’ve got the receipts,” on the Milley claim on the supposed Iran attack. He’s aware that the information is or was secret and comments about Hillary’s carelessness. He’s showing he’s not trying to share or leak information that may be secret.
I don’t like the staffer. She sounds like a kiss @ss. That the worst kind of person to be around Trump. Obsequious and not actually loyal types are high risks.
CNN the last source you should ever trust for anything.
Now subpoena their asses about how and from where they got a tape recording from this meeting. Chance to ask them a lot of serious questions and bring charges against them for disclosing the existence of reportedly classified foreign policy/defense information that would be detrimental to the security of America if disclosed.
Prosecutors never get punished for leaking and trying a case in the news.
OTOH, if Trump leaks something, he will go to jail for contempt.
IF the magistrate were serious about BOTH parties not leaking, he would start ruling that any leak would result in the evidence being excluded at trial. The DA’s office would lock up tighter than a drum.
Jury tampering. Election interference.

At first glance these leaks and ‘exposures’ about President Trump would cause me to worry. Now, not only can you count on them being nothing-burgers, but they almost 100 per cent are followed by an actual explosive revelation about biden. Certainly by design.
