Have Trump's Tribulations Been a Blessing in Disguise?
American Thinker ^ | 19 Jun, 2023 | John Green

Merrick Garland has dropped any pretext of the DOJ being anything other than the enforcement thugs of the Democrat party. He is showing us the depth of his department's corruption and daring us to do something about it. His hubris may be shortsighted.

Have you ever heard the Friedrich Nietzsche aphorism, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger"? Does Donald Trump look like a dying man — or one invigorated by the prospect of combat? Have Joe Biden and Merrick Garland thought this indictment through? Have they not learned that when attacked, Donald Trump emerges stronger? Was turning Donald Trump into a martyr for the cause of freedom and justice their best idea to keep him away from power?

I've come to believe that many of God's blessings are not immediately recognized as the gifts they are. I had a serious heart problem that went undiscovered until I caught COVID. The disease didn't cause the problem, but it did reveal it — before it killed me. My unpleasant dance with the bat-flu was a blessing that saved my life.

Has the persecution of Donald Trump been a blessing in disguise? Has the last seven years of misery focused Trump — and us — on the work that lies ahead? Was it not a curse, but necessary preparation?

Prior to his removal from office, President Trump did not understand the depth of government corruption. He would have been unlikely to take serious steps to address it in a second term — had that second term arrived without an intervening four years of tribulation.

Trump thought the FBI had a James Comey problem. So he fired Comey and appointed Christopher Wray. He didn't see that the bureau's culture had been corrupted over decades of poor leadership. Its motto of fidelity, bravery...

I am beginning to think that Trump needs a much better security detail.

The people on the Left have convinced themselves that anyone and everyone NOT on the Left is a terrorist and an enemy of the country.

This is the reason that they will lie, cheat, steal, and perhaps even kill to make sure their party stays in power.

It is kind of ironic: the powers to be want us to believe that Biden was elected even though he never left his basement. Given that narrative, it is possible for Trump to be elected even if he’s sitting in a jail cell.

“I am beginning to think that Trump needs a much better security detail.”

I suspect his enemies (the pro-Ukraine mob) realize that Trump isn’t backing down and cowering in the corner, DESPITE their best efforts to use lawfare against him.

These kind of posts infuriate me. It’s all about Donald. What about America? What about our loss of freedom? What about the tyrants stifling all expression?

“It’s all about Donald. What about America? What about our loss of freedom?”

Can’t you recognize the obvious connection among the three, i.e., Trump, America, and freedom?

Dan Bongino, former SS Agent, agrees with you.

Infurated? What? Don't you see Trump winning again as retribution against all those things? How can you be so blind?

I have had similar thoughts.

The Democrats (and their friends in the media) would have been better served to leave President Trump alone once he was out of office. But they didn’t.

By just existing President has exposed the evil that is the Democrat party. Regardless how this all turns out for the man (President Trump) he has already won.

Please list all the freedoms you’ve lost and the expression you’ve had stifled by “tyrants” in the last 25 years.

I dunno, ask Ashli Babbitt that, oh wait she is dead.

I have wondered the same.

I have been praying for God to heal our land.

God's ways are not man's ways.

We certainly are sharing in his tribulations. But it’s yet to be established that we will share in any triumph. His first term was a combination of the right intentions and horrifying, mind-shattering ineptitude. He kicked every hornet’s nest he could find, but couldn’t kill a single hornet.

I understand the immense value of revealing where all the hornets are, but is kicking them really the key to eradicating them? And now I see him fighting DeSantis by declaring how foolish it is to bother hornets???!!!

We did once. He admittedly hired people with what he described had small brains. If he could find better the first time, why do we want a rinse and repeat?
