LBJ vs. the Nuclear Family
The American Conservative ^ | 12/29/2016 | Goeglein

Posted on 06/17/2023 4:38:25 AM PDT by Phoenix8

“… in 1966, a political revolution emerged in America that would have a massive impact on millions of families and marriages. The man behind it was President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who reached the White House amid a national tragedy but grabbed the reins of power quickly and purposefully, bent on transforming the country. Though he is lionized in popular culture these days, it is worth asking whether the celebratory tone accurately reflects the results of his revolution, at least in terms of his massive Great Society.”

…….

“Johnson incorporated Moynihan’s study into a speech at Washington’s Howard University that suggested that poor black families should be given a guaranteed, government-provided income. Johnson and his policy team believed that expanding government funding for broken families would help save them. Instead, it incentivized single mothers to remain unmarried. By expanding welfare state programs to Americans who were already experiencing serious stress and hardship, it deepened the problems of illegitimacy, fatherless homes, and other cultural problems. Millions of Americans soon were engulfed in permanent chaos and dysfunction. A plague of fatherlessness ensued, with nearly 72 percent of all American black children being born to single mothers by 2015.”

I wonder how many are aware that the prime cause of most of our ills today are not from a liberal Husband and wife team and former Governor of Arkansas. Nor a leftist bi-racial possibly gay immigrant said to be born in Hawaii then lived in Chicago, or even a doddering leftist swamp lifer and former Senator from Maryland.

It’s a Democrat from once solidly Red State Texas, Lyndon Banes Johnson (POTUS 1963-1969).

I read the entire article and it missed one of the most famous LBJ quotes ever uttered.

After the congress passed and he signed what turned out to be the expansion of welfare to single women, lbj said to his Sec of State, "I'll have these n*ggers voting demonRAT for the next 200 years", and he was right.

LBJ destroyed the black family in America, as they went from 90% wed mothers to 25% in today's world.

The destruction of the black family has lead to increased crime and poverty but look at the bright side, 88% of all blacks still vote for LBJ's party, the party of Jim Crow, of slavery and the KKK.

The oft used slur, "Dumb n*gger" has some real significance in explaining this expression of self destruction.

* = a vowel, you pick your own choice or just use the one that LBJ used.

“””It’s a Democrat from once solidly Red State Texas”””

LBJ was a Democrat from an almost 100% Democrat state, California was the mostly Republican state.

Thank you Tim for writing this. I have been spouting this for decades. Lyndon started it all with his Great Society but today’s communists (Clinton, Obama, Biden) are putting the finishing touches of the transformation. The welfare state started this mess and if we are to escape we must get rid of it!

“”””I’ll have these n*ggers voting demonRAT for the next 200 years”, and he was right.”””

That quote puzzles me because the black vote permanently reversed in 1936.

I think the main factor in ending America was JFK’s replacement immigration goals, when we were Americans we could go through cycles and change things, and reverse mistakes, correct our course, but today the left has a constant supply of new Democrat voters.

Some shocking trivia, JFK was never decorated for any heroism in combat while Lt. Commander Lyndon. B Johnson was awarded the Silver Star in WWII.

This is the fertile soil which was host to the Marxist blm gang, weaponized by BHO and his cultural marxism.

This group was pawned by BHO without them knowing that they were political tools.

Black lives matter?? Let’s have a good look at homicides and see who’s responsible for the war zones in Chicago, Detroit, Washington, New York... etc etc.

Or let’s ask another question of the third generation of feral black: why are there more black kids in jail than college?

“the prime cause of most of our ills today are not from a liberal Husband and wife team and former Governor of Arkansas”
,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

This is a SYMPTOM. The actual ‘prime cause’ is that we as a culture have pushed God out. The One who has blessed America is mocked in our schools, our government, and in our churches.

We see things growing worse, but IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

A really good book that seems to explain LBJ’s role in the Kennedy assasination.
The Texas Connection, explains much of the evil.

It was Sen. Ted Kennedy who pushed legislation to allow immigration of Third Worlders into our country. Immigration Act of 1965. “The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” Statement by Ted Kennedy during Senate debate on the bill.

When LBJ signed the bill - the Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1965 -on Oct. 3, 1965, he said, “It does not affect the lives of millions... It will not reshape the structure of our daily lives or add importantly to either our wealth or power.” The Act was also known as the Hart-Celler Act after its sponsors, Sen. Philip Hart (D-Mich.) and Rep. Emanuel Celler (D.-NY).

They both lied, as Democrats always do. Everything they said wouldn’t happen, has. These Democrats are responsible for opening the floodgates. D stands for Destruction.

JFK?

I always thought it was his brother Edward Kennedy and his immigration changes to make the system more “fair”.

“However, if there is one man who can take the most credit for the 1965 act, it is John F. Kennedy. Kennedy seems to have inherited the resentment his father Joseph felt as an outsider in Boston’s WASP aristocracy. He voted against the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, and supported various refugee acts throughout the 1950s.

In 1958 he wrote a book, A Nation of Immigrants, which attacked the quota system as illogical and without purpose, and the book served as Kennedy’s blueprint for immigration reform after he became president in 1960.
In the summer of 1963, Kennedy sent Congress a proposal calling for the elimination of the national origins quota system. He wanted immigrants admitted on the basis of family reunification and needed skills, without regard to national origin.

After his assassination in November, his brother Robert took up the cause of immigration reform, calling it JFK’s legacy. In the forward to a revised edition of A Nation of Immigrants, issued in 1964 to gain support for the new law, he wrote, “I know of no cause which President Kennedy championed more warmly than the improvement of our immigration policies.” Sold as a memorial to JFK, there was very little opposition to what became known as the Immigration Act of 1965.”

Did you ever read of his disgusting bowel movement habits?

When he had a really big one built up they said he loved to think of an excuse to call on a young intern or new person. He would have them stand IN the bathroom with him as he evacuated his guts in front of them, and make them take notes or listen to his ideas as a thin excuse.

No idea if he thought it was funny to demean them and make them squirm or it’s was some sick turn on.

See post 17.

This is the platform that JFK ran on in 1960.

Immigration:
We shall adjust our immigration, nationality and refugee policies to ELIMINATE DISCRIMINATION AND TO ENABLE MEMBERS OF SCATTERED FAMILIES ABROAD TO BE UNITED WITH RELATIVES ALREADY IN OUR MIDST.

THE NATIONAL-ORIGINS QUOTA SYSTEM OF LIMITING IMMIGRATION CONTRADICTS THE FOUNDING PRINCIPLES OF THIS NATION. It is inconsistent with our belief in the rights of man. This system was instituted after world war I AS A POLICY OF DELIBERATE DISCRIMINATION BY A REPUBLICAN ADMINISTRATION AND CONGRESS.

The revision of immigration and nationality laws we seek will implement our belief that enlightened immigration, naturalization and refugee policies and humane administration of them are important aspects of our foreign policy.

These laws will bring greater skills to our land, reunite families, permit the United States to meet its fair share of world programs of rescue and rehabilitation, and take advantage of immigration as an important factor in the growth of the American economy.

In this World Refugee Year it is our hope to achieve admission of our fair share of refugees. We will institute policies to alleviate suffering among the homeless wherever we are able to extend our aid.

We must remove the distinctions between native-born and naturalized citizens to assure full protection of our laws to all. There is no place in the United States for “second-class citizenship.”

The protections provided by due process, right of appeal, and statutes of limitation, can be extended to non-citizens without hampering the security of our nation.

We commend the Democratic Congress for the initial steps that have recently been taken toward liberalizing changes in immigration law. However, this should not be a piecemeal project and we are confident that a Democratic President in cooperation with Democratic Congresses will again implant a humanitarian and liberal spirit in our nation’s immigration and citizenship policies.

The guy was a sexual deviant of the worst sort. He would screw the wives of his staff members, politicians, reporters. LBJ was a truly evil person. Even after JFK died, LBJ still tried to bed Jackie O .
