I’ve seen reports that some of the people who have died trying to summit Everest are still up there frozen solid, same goes for all the trash that is up there.
I understand why people want to scale Everest, but a good number of people die in the process.
Yes, they are pretty much left where they died, unburied, and serve as trail markers for other hikers. You can find pictures of them on line.
Google images has pics of them……sad .

” that some of the people who have died trying to summit Everest “
Absolutely. Any trip to the summit involves walking past places where corpses are visible. A grim reminder of the dangers.
I’ve watched the documentaryies. The latest climbers are no more qualified to climb Everest than me, and my tallest climb was a 12 foot ladder.
I’ve read several books on the ascent and attempted ascent of Everest, and it seems to me a lot of folks who make the attempt have no business doing so. Bad stuff can happen when the unqualified make such attempts. Hell, even the very qualified can run into trouble, as the mountain is an unforgiving bitch.
Many of the bodies are never recovered. Many of those that are recovered are buried on the mountain .
Call me crazy but a 58-year old with a pacemaker should not be attempting to summit Mt Everest.
I don’t think they have ever found Mallory’s body for instance (he of the ‘because it’s there’ quote).
The slopes of Mount Everest are covered with the corpses of highly motivated people. There’s over 200 bodies up there. They can’t bring them back down... maybe they could but the mountain is unforgiving at higher altitudes, and the logistics involved with retrieving corpses is technically insurmountable.

Indian climber, name unknown, known for his bright green climbing boots, been an Everest landmark since 1996.
“...are still up there frozen solid”
They even use them as a point of reference.
“Base Camp - come in. We just passed ‘green boots’ and everything is fine.”
10% fatality rate.
True
Almost all of them are frozen and still up there..
Those up there have no energy to spend retrieving bodies..
you die up there, that is where your body remains..
Remember, every body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person.
