I’ve seen reports that some of the people who have died trying to summit Everest are still up there frozen solid.

Yes, they are pretty much left where they died, unburied, and serve as trail markers for other hikers. You can find pictures of them on line.

It’s very dangerous to attempt removal of a frozen body from the death zone - since the would-be rescuers are clinging to life themselves.
