The alphabet banner is not exactly in the same category.
It is more like the Christian banner. Represents a group of people in the country but I bet people would throw a fit if it was shown in any official capacity.
In fact I would bet the same people who are outraged about the pride banner being pooped on would applaud the Christian banner being pooped on.

Isn’t a gay american still an american, therefore when burning an american flag how do you differentiate weather its representative of a straight american or gay american.

Anything goes when it comes to the American flag these days. Anyone can do anything they want to it and its *freedom of speech* and people are not being prosecuted.
Why then, should not the same standards be applied to the *gay flag*? Why afford it special protection that the US flag does not have and prosecute desecrating it as a crime while the actions done to the American flag are permitted?]
