It worked out so well when HBO "re-booted" Scooby Doo:
The most recent example is HBO Max’s “Velma,” which casts Mindy Kaling as a gay Indian version of Velma from the popular Scooby Doo cartoons. The show premiered to low ratings, earning a whopping 7% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite widespread criticism, HBO Max renewed the show for a second season.

There's an excellent YouTube channel called
The Why Files that I'd recommend over any of this woke garbage.
It's clean, entertaining and tells interesting X-Files type stories in around 20 minutes.
The host seems to be conservative too, or at least libertarian. And his sidekick, Hecklefish, a gold fish with a tinfoil hat over his bowl, is hilarious.
