I think the jury’s decision in this particular case was derived from the evidence presented to them.
That’s all an HONEST jury can do.
I was honestly glad on this one. She countered for one dollar so she knew she was innocent.
What got me is when the doctor who was suing claimed he had become an invalid from the accident, rarely venturing outdoors - then the defense attorney presented a pile of photos showing the guy doing all kinds of activities all over the world, looking to be out and about and in great shape.
His lame excuse was that he needed to get out and do things to feel better. Well, you can’t have it both way.
Can’t stand the smirking, holier-than-thou Paltrow with her $200 notebook “without lines,” green juice - and who was upset that she “lost a 1/2 day of skiing” after the crash.
Both sides were unlikeable.
Yes; he’s out his own legal costs, and hers.
Stupid move, but he seems to be the sort of egotist who would try that.
Yes.
But it’s over now, and they will live with it - we won’t :-)
That stupid movie won over the FAR superior “Good Fellows” - which is often cited on critics’ lists of the 10 best movies ever made.
No one watches “Shakespeare in Love,” it never should have won - and neither should she.
(rumor is old Harvey Weinstein pulled some strings to make those wins happen).
From a few clips I watched, I believe you are correct.
I didn’t keep up much with this trial, but from the little I did watch, I believe the jury made the correct call.
she’s had zero presence in any of her movies.
I guess they weren’t influenced by her intense unlikeability.
Nepotism has its perks.
“Who cares?”
Tony Stark.
I didn’t watch any of it, but I have serious doubts that in what was apparently essentially a he-said-she-said case, and the “she” was a beloved Hollywood actress, the plaintiff could have prevailed under any circumstances.
So, if I want to feel up Paltrow on a ski slope it will cost me a dollar?
Thanks.
Maybe you should watch some of it. The evidence and testimonies were revealing.
Plus all the court costs.
(But she’s looking kind of long in the tooth these days, so maybe you should reconsider your hypothetical ‘wants’...)
I didn’t find him very ‘likeable’, either.
It was a lawsuit that never should have happened.
I don’t know if it’s classy or self-serving.
I suspect she welcomed all of the exposure...people who thrive on fame tend to seek more of it all the time.
Yes. But the guy was obviously just looking for a payday.
