Gretchen Whitmer has nothing to do with the storm, and at least in the areas outlying Detroit DTE had their trucks staged in strategic locations on Wednesday afternoon. DTE has actually been getting stuff back up again pretty quickly, I believe it was Thursday morning it was at around 600,000 without power, and they’re expecting to have most people back up by Sunday night.

Maybe not but why do the idiots in Michigan keep voting for the wicked witch of the west? The way she botched the response to Corrovid, I was sure she was one and done, but never underestimate the power of stupid people.

A lot of it happens on Detroit's east side with most being in the Grosse Pointes.

Reason being is the overabundance of old growth trees that have their branches break down on the power lines due to the weight of ice.
