Hopefully not jab related. But who knows these days.
Well, certainly edgier than Bosco.
He always looked sickly, like Abe Vigoda did for years.
I’ll bet his next words as he entered a sad eternity wasn’t quite so arrogant.
I asked him for a signed photo for a friend of mine who was a big fan. Mr Belzer was very pleasant and accommodating with the personalized photo.
I wonder who he was talking to in that last moment?
A limousine liberal who mocked Christians. Haven’t paid attention to him since the 80s / early 90s. Maybe he changed since then? Probably not.
Unfortunate, but does not upset me. Never found him to be remotely funny.
Sounds like no great loss.
““He had lots of health issues, and his last words were, ‘F–k you, motherf–er,’” Scheft said.”
I certainly hope that trash talk like that will not be the last words out of my mouth.
Without a script writer I guess he’s at a loss for something to say!
As part of the hype for the first Wrestlemania, Hulk Hogan and Mr. T appeared on a talk show Belzer hosted at the time. Belzer told Hogan to put a wrestling hold on him. Hogan put him in a “sleeper hold.” He then let go of Belzer, who collasped on the floor, hitting his head. Belzer subsequently sued Hogan over the incident. If this was a “work” (Like Jerry Lawler and Andy Kaufman) it was very convincing.
Lots of people in this thread upset about his last words, while their words are in the same vain.
A lot of hatred going on here. Just saying, that’s a bit hypocritical.
I also don’t believe this article. A bunch of actors and writers and other crazies said he said those final words. Lets not believe everything we read or hear anymore, ok?
We go on about how everything the media says is a lie, but believe the next article we read.
I don’t know Richard Belzer at all. But I can say he was active - always dedicated to the craft and never really sitting on his laurels.
“F— you, motherf—er.”
Hell, I say that all day long in this reign of Biden!😎
“The Belz “
Welp, RIP.
How "edgy" is saying F bombs as you die when it's the same tired F bombs you've been saying your "long career"?
Sounds predictable and stale to me.
RIP Richard Belzer. I saw him at the Comedy Store in LA back in 1982. Time flies.
I would have expected a little more eloquence from a former stand-up. Anger issues?
Raquel Welch, Stella Stevens, and... Richard Belzer?!
I remember his stand-up act. What a piece of filth.
