‘Shaddup,’ the Government Said

If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t find common factual ground with liberal friends, the reason may be that not only have private outfits worked successfully to censor news, but government agencies as well.

If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t find common factual ground with liberal friends, the reason may be that not only have private outfits worked successfully to censor news, but that government agencies as well, from the CDC to the CIA, have successfully censored it by proxy. It’s not just the major media that have been corrupted by the government (acting as megaphones for government agencies and so fearful of offending their sources that they help them cover up wrongdoing), but the new media, which we had supposed would allow alternative sources of information to become more widely available, is severely compromised. This week, following the exposure of pre-Elon Musk-takeover Twitter and the revelations of government censorship of the website, the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government began its hearings. The focus to start was on Twitter, but I cannot believe that higher-ranked sites like Facebook are any different. We just do not yet have access to their inner operations. (Speaking as one who never has bullied others or posted pornography or incited criminal behavior there, I am perpetually denied full exposure on Facebook for defying the unclear “community standards” which they claim to be enforcing.)

Yes, as usual, there were the cameo appearances of the now-fired Twitter executives who admitted they “erred” in suppressing news of Hunter Biden’s laptop and banning the NY Post for daring to report on it, but to my way of thinking, the key witness was law professor Jonathan Turley, who shares my concern about government censorship through website proxies, as was clearly the case with Twitter.

Anymore, I don’t trust ANYTHING coming from this administration. In all my life, I have never heard so many perpetual lies coming from the White House, and all the way down the line. I know that I can’t stand to even hear Biden’s whiny ass voice.

"If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t find common factual ground with liberal friends, the reason may be that not only have private outfits worked successfully to censor news, but government agencies as well."

Or, the reason could be simply because their brains are "wired differently", and that the US should be divided into two countries to accommodate that difference.

They could even name the new country "Wakanda".

“...why you can’t find common factual ground with liberal friends...”

Because they’re not liberal, and shouldn’t be referred to as such.

Liberal Karen’s helped shut people up too by becoming violent towards anyone that didn’t buy into the government and big tech, and the msm’s commands to shut up. It became a very hostile environment for conservatives and people who valued sovereignty and who chose not to be experimented on. And the govenrment and states protected their brown shirt stooges and vilified and cancelled those who resisted. Heck, they even threw people in prison for simply protesting after being invited into the capitol.

I’m beginning to think that anyone with a college degree who works in government is an uber-leftist.

It’s difficult to get thru college without being deeply indoctrinated in left thinking.

The “Big Education” monolith is both a funding mechanism for Democrats and a propaganda outlet.

If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t find common factual ground with liberal friends...

The author mentions an important reason, but there's another that could be even more important: The Left and the Right have differing objectives. Oftentimes this becomes apparent -- and two sides seeking two mutually exclusive results cannot find common ground on anything.

Time was, Left and Right agreed on ends but differed on means. It was sometimes possible for the two sides to argue constructively, then. No longer.

With the entrenched vote fraud now deeply embedded in the “swing states” that may be impossible to correct. It’s our own fault.
