Russian President Vladimir Putin himself held only a meeting with the permanent members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation via videoconference.
After the main part, the meeting continued in a narrow format. We discussed the state of affairs at the front and a number of related topics.
The President was informed that in connection with the resumption of the offensive in a number of sectors of the front in the last five days, Russian troops have suffered heavy losses both in manpower and in equipment.
Putin was also informed about the problems with the provision and the possibility of providing first aid to those injured on the battlefield.
According to the general staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, in order to comply with the planned pace of the offensive, it is necessary to urgently carry out the next stage of mobilization.
This is not the first appeal to the president by the leadership of the military bloc about the need for a full-fledged next stage of mobilization.
After the report, Putin ordered until March 4 to call thirty thousand people as part of the mobilization without official coverage of this process.
To the remark that by May it will be needed ten times more than this figure, the president replied: "We will decide everything later."
Putin is a big fan of solving problems at the last moment, if they have not decided on their own before.
Problems are accumulating like a snowball, and more and more people in the president's entourage understand that most of these problems cannot be solved, and no one knows how to get out of the worsening crisis in a system where everything depends on one very indecisive person.
Did you think we'd forget all the propaganda you posted here from the Daily Mail, Marcus? Not a chance.
What Vuhledar doink, comrade?
Aw, how cute, he has his own “Security Council” that won’t denounce him when he invades sovereign countries.
The Security Council of the Russian Federation has been in existence in its current state since 1992. It’s nothing more than their equivalent of our own National Security Council.
Who does Biden consult when blowing up Russia’s pipelines? In some circles that would be considered a declaration of war.
“In some circles that would be considered a declaration of war.”
It’s only a declaration of war if the person whose pipeline blew up has the nuts to call you out on it, and Russia doesn’t.
Weak, weak sauce. Like all of your sauce.
Have you ever done that to a stranger?
And what if Putin did that to your son and nephew? Would you cheer him on?
“ Putin is a big fan of solving problems at the last moment, if they have not decided on their own before.”
If they need to call up another 300,000 troops to be effective by May…that kind of decision needs to be made now.
One does not call up another 300k (which would double the Russian army’s size in the past year) without the logistics to support that. Clothing, weapons, trucks, trains, tanks, training, leadership…are not things you have on the shelf.
And an immediate call up of 30,000 isn’t going to amount to anything on such a large battlefield.
Is there news about shifting his economy to a complete war footing? As the price of oil has dropped, his profits must be tanking. He only makes money if the price is over $80/ barrel. And that’s a break even point.
The analogue would be Trump doing that and yeah, I'd be OK with it. If it was Biden my kid would not even be there.
The Biden WH didn’t know what Russia would do when they blew up the pipeline and honestly the jury is still out on what Russia may or may not do regarding these provocations. It’s obvious that Biden has been trying to provoke a Pearl Harbor II type of response so we can jump head first into WWIII.
“the jury is still out on what Russia may or may not do regarding these provocations”
Not really. They will hem and haw, but they won’t start a war over it.
“It’s obvious that Biden has been trying to provoke a Pearl Harbor II type of response so we can jump head first into WWIII.”
Well, that’s some imagination you’ve got there.
