Millennials in West see 70% explosion in strokes

Strokes commonly strike the old. The average age for the devastating condition — in which blood supply to a part of the brain is blocked or when a blood vessel in the brain bursts — is around 71.4 years in men and 76.9 years in women. Millennials, however, are starting to bring those averages down.

Now ranging in age from 27 to 42, Millennials are suffering strokes at higher rates than their forebears did at the same age, reversing a 40-year decline in stroke deaths. Between 2003 and 2012, there was a 32% spike in strokes among 18- to 34-year-old women and a 15% increase for men in the same age range, according to CDC researchers. When Scientific American further parsed the data, they found that the hike was mostly centered in the West and Midwest, where stroke rates among young people rose 70% and 34%, respectively, with particularly sharp increases in urban areas. Now, about one in ten people who has a stroke in the U.S. is under the age of 45.

Younger stroke victims

There are many potential explanations for this disconcerting trend. Rising stress, falling physical activity levels, and fewer doctor visits among Millennials could all play a role. One narrative rises to the forefront, however. As cigarette use in the U.S. declined from an alarming high of around 45% in the 1950s to just 12.5% in 2020, all Americans collectively reaped the benefit of less smoke in public places, which manifested in reduced rates of lung cancer, heart disease, and stroke. But since the 1970s, the public health benefits from reduced smoking are being eroded by rising obesity and its related health complications…

So glad we didn’t get the Fauci Ouchy.

Wonder when this wave of Sudden Fauci Syndrome will be over. We might just be getting started.

7 years ago when I started teaching, hardly any kids had migraines. On a weekly basis I have numerous students (10 per class out of 25) who have migraines. The number of children with headaches alarms me. My guess is, as the babylon bee put it, it is that thing that can’t be named that no one can talk about that is perfectly safe.

Perhaps we should start referring to strokes as “having a jabby”

With rare exception, anything the government recommends is schiff.
I’m 67 yrs old and have repeated refused the “Jab”,
until I knew all Democrats were vaccinated and I wanted to see how many died.
It is curious that most my Fellow vets have also refused the shots. But due to our lessons in the service we don’t trust anything Governments run by Democrats do. Vast majority of Federal government employees are Democrats. Regardless of who gets elected.

I followed the link. I’m surprised that there is no mention of the experimental mRNA vaccine for the Wuhan virus.

Here's the critical question, which I'm not able to easily find the answer to: Has the rate of increase changed in the past 3 years?  If so, by how much, and in what demographics?  Why is it so difficult to get the current data in a format that can be compared to previous years?

When my children were born 40 years ago, I never had a pediatrician warn me as to the symptoms to watch out for that indicates a heart attack or stroke in children. Now, I hear advertisements on talk radio warning parents of such risks.

There is a plot against the people of this nation (and others) and the medical community and most of the media is a part of that plot. What public health officials have done to the level of trust the people have in the medical field should be considered criminal.

Talk about “disinformation” they have peddled it in droves! People are going to be hesitant to get their children vaccinated for anything at all. I actually think children are over-vaccinated, receive too many all at once and at a too young of an age, but there are 4 or 5 vaccines I think are necessary to prevent an out-break of measles, mumps, polio, diphtheria or whooping cough. But to go from too many vaccinations to none for those diseases for which children are now at a definite risk, would be the wrong way to go. At a time when diseased-ridden aliens are coming here in droves, we do need children vaccinated for those specific diseases.

if obesity is such a major health issue, then why serve anything but salad on the free lunch program?

Thankfully, I live in a red-state rural county, but most of the area physicians (especially the specialists) are located in the liberal city next door. Therefore, to go to the doctor I had to wear the stupid masks even when sitting along in the examining room (I refused to do that). Anyone and everyone could demand your vaccination status. Now of course, it is a violation of privacy rights to question if someone is vaccinated. Especially if that someone just had a heart attack or stroke at the ripe old age of 35.

The people who called for mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations are not misguided or misinformed. They are evil!

It is not just millennials. My 13 year old cousin collapsed on the playing field at school. He was unconscious and CPR was started. He had a massive stroke which has left him with permanent brain damage. His parents who are both full time college professors have made him get all the jabs and boosters. They will not admit that the jabs caused this and berated my uncle for suggesting it might have.

What difference, at this point, would it make?

Oh, look! Trump has called DeSantis disloyal!!!!!

The next federal election could turn on the answer to that question.

The Democrat party has a problem: they have a key part of their base still melting down over covid, demanding a return to mandates, masks, extorting people to get boosters etc. This alienates everyone else in their coalition, but these ladies (they are almost all women at this point) are just not going to shut up.

And then there’s Trump, who is still touting Operation Warp Speed as a signal achievement of his administration. This annoys a similarly small, but vocal part of his base.

So, yeah, if we don’t care about politics, it doesn’t matter. But this place is still primarily a politics board, isn’t it?

I live in Maryland and travel all throughout deep blue Mid-Atlantic and New England for work. I’ve never been asked to produce a non-existent vax card. The worst I’ve had is having to provide my name and phone number for restaurants.

I’m usually James Madison with a local area code 704-1989 phone number. (July 4 and the year the Constitution was ratified)

Ohh nooos.. The vax neurotics read the headline and were getting ready to do their circle jerk to Malone and McCullough… only to read ahead and find no mention of vaccines ! Sad. Very sad.

The number of children with headaches alarms me.

And, how does this prove Covid shots are responsible? It doesn't.
