This one sure came out of Centerfield.
There’s the bathroom on the right ...
This story reads like a Dickens novel.
Maybe he hired Suzi Q as his lawyer.
I found out not long ago that Fogerty was from California. Always thought he was born on the Bayou
Good news.
Sony Music acquired the rights to Bob Dylan’s master recordings in a deal estimated to be worth $200 or more.
When John Fogerty replaced his brother Tom as the front man for the band, he demanded to be the one who negotiated the recording deal. The deal he accepted was horrible, and it resulted, eventually, in the break up of the band. Tom was very angry with his brother, and they feuded. As I understand it, Tom died without reconciling with John.
Willy and the Rich Boys now?
Bob Dylan sold his master recordings to Sony. Amount was not disclosed.
His publishing rights were sold to Universal Music for over $300 milllion.
(All songs have two copyrights. Recorded rights pertain to a specific recording, including the master tracks, while publishing rights comprise the song’s composition such as music and lyrics. Recorded rights are tied more directly to streaming and sales royalties while publishing rights pertain more to performances and use in film and television.)

Finally, justice.
What I'd love to see (but know it will never happen) is next time on tour at the biggest venue, Fogerty wait until his last song and say that he wants a couple of old friends to help him. Then introduce Stu Cook and Doug Clifford. I bet the house would go absolutely nuts.
Oh, good. Now I can still not listen to that crap. Thirteen minutes of Susie Q and I was done with them a long time ago.
They got cheated big time.

$200 or more.
I think a little more.
CCR dethroned the Beatles as being the most popular band in the US and was gone in less than 5 years
If it keeps Fogerty out of courtrooms, then hurray. Unless you’re a lawyer or judge, that’s no way to spend your life
"I love Creedence!"
“2021, the same year that Sony Music acquired the rights to Bob Dylan’s master recordings in a deal estimated to be worth $200 or more.”
Wow, I’d have paid $201. ;^)
