Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was captured on the House floor late Friday holding up her cell phone with former President Donald Trump on the line.
After the House Republicans' failed 14th vote to elect GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy to the speakership, Greene tried getting Rep. Matt Rosendale to speak with the former president.
'It was the perfect phone call,' Greene tweeted, sharing Bloomberg's photo of the moment, where Trump's initials 'DT' were clearly seen on her iPhone screen.
Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, had yelled out the name of Rep. Andy Biggs during the 14th round of voting.

I feel like I don’t understand the world any more.
Gee, thanks President Trump. Appreciate you working so hard to get your swamp buddy in charge........”
Not surprising. Look at all the swamp creatures Trump picked to be in his administration plur Wray to head the FBI and Gen. Milley to be Chairman of the JCS.
Trump made quite a few personnel mistakes when he was president. We all know that. It’s okay to make mistakes, as long as you learn from those mistakes. I’m not seeing much learning here.
Per another report I was just reading about this, which this one doesn’t mention, Rosendale waved her (and DT) off.
Those folks that fought this deserve a lot of credit for standing up against all the pressure.
Everyone should use this moment to reflect, and reset your compass on which politicians, media personalities, and Freepers you should trust.
McCarthy is hardly ideal, but he’s a lot better than McConnell. Sad that it takes a Senate leader who hates his voters and Trump to make a guy who at least listens to us seem better by comparison.
Trump made the right choice. He wouldn’t be doing this if he didn’t believe in KM and it wasn’t going to benefit his run for the Presidency.
Between him pushing the clot shot and now him working hard as he could for the swamp master McCarthy, he’s losing me really quick. My main hope is to get someone in there who will keep Gavin Newsom out of the oval office. Trump is not that guy anymore
“Better half a loaf.” Paraphrasing Reagan
True, but hopefully things will get better. Never give up!

Rosendale really impressed me.
The final 4/6 all deserve tremendous respect, and to a lesser extent perhaps the other 14/15.
That said, it would be a shame if the most principled half of the most principle half-dozen ended up being black-balled and rendered useless for anything beyond this battle.
Once one of the final four had joined the other two in voting present, no point remained to voting for someone else—McCarthy had the 216, which would win whether it was 216-212 with six abstentions, or 216-212-3 others-three abstentions.
THe world is really messy—at least as I perceive it—then again, I’m Catholic.
Not MTG’s greatest moment.
Not MTG’s greatest moment.
Thats who i am most disappointed in. MTG.........Cmon!!!
Trump understands what you apparently don’t, that the concessions are far more important than who wins the speaker position.
Trump is playing the long game.
I guess you’ll soon be calling Trump a RINO, what exactly is your goal here? Do you love DeSantis? So do I! But there is no need to attack Trump, you can like both.
The problem is that there are two groups of Republicans: people who detest Trump and those who’ll work with him. The latter group are comprised of conservatives and opportunists (with some overlap) and often hard to tell them apart until it’s too late. That’s not Trump’s fault, but he often doesn’t help himself with his antics which drive some of his allies away.
I wouldn’t hold this against Trump. The Republicans did not produce an alternative to McCarthy. Trump knew this.
