Used to be when you read the obituaries you only saw an occasional young person. Now, you see far too many.
I used to watch The Ultimate Fighter for the first couple of seasons, and I remember that the winner of the Bonnar-Griffin fight was going to get a UFC contract. The fight was so good, with both men giving their all, that Dana White gave contracts to both of them.
It was a fight reminiscent of Rocky: two relatively unknown fighters who would not quit.

it was the fight that made the UFC famous- peopel were calling hteir friends that night saying “Dude- ya gotta see this fight- it’s unreal!”- according to rogan- bonner was an animal- Tough tough fighter-
He was suffering from a lot of injuries and was addicted to pain pills. He did an interview last year where he discussed all of his health problems. Broken vertebrae, broken shoulder. He unfortunately wasn’t healthy to begin with.
