Disgraced English pop star and convicted pedophile Gary Glitter is set to be released from prison in the coming weeks after serving just half of his 16 year sentence for sexually abusing three young girls, according to a report.
Glitter, born Paul Francis Gadd, could be freed as early as February for his model behavior, a Ministry of Justice source told The Sun.
The depraved 78-year-old rose to prominence as a glam-rock star in the 1970s and 80s known for his wild live performances, but fell from grace after he was convicted of downloading child pornography in 1999.
According to The Sun, the “Do You Wanna Touch Me” singer still has millions of dollars left in his bank accounts and owns an apartment in London where he could live after his release.

Watching the videos, it doesn’t even look like he actually sings it, just gyrates on state while the chorus says “Hey!”
I remember when his “Rock and Roll Part 2” was a staple at sporting events. Understandably, you never hear it anymore.

Until I looked it up, I always ‘thought I remembered’ that songs “Crimson In Clover” and “Crystal Blue Persuasion’
were done by Gary Glitter.

Both songs were done by Tommy James & The Shondells.

I had no clue it was done by a pedo.
Now The Joker is an even darker movie.
I grew up thinking “Crimson and Clover” was Joan Jett.

I can remember Savile when I lived in the UK. ALWAYS thought he was creepy and gross. Never understood the appeal. Then figured out the British public were lemmings as those here.

I could imaging Joan covering that song.
That, along with strobe stage lights and echoed voices.
I remember reading that he also got charged after he took his computer to get repaired and they found god knows what...
