The "Batman" 1960s TV Show.
IMDB ^

Regardless of how silly it can be, I find much to enjoy about this Batman show with Adam West and Burt Ward. Julie Newmar is still the best Catwoman. After years of ownership disputes, the fans can watch these classics once again!

Well there is a lot to say bad about the 60's, this part was not.

My god Julie Newmar, as "Catwoman".

Somewhere I read that the Giant Edge-Lighted Lucite Map of Gotham City is clearly that of St. Louis.

I loved the series, but the debauchery that took place on the set was not something to admire.

This was one of the dumbest programs ever put on a TV screen. I even knew that as an 8 yr old.

Wow...that’s great picture quality! ome years ago I discovered a channel that showed Hogan’s Heroes in HD. Turns out that it,unlike most TV shows of the era,was shot with the same cameras and film used on major motion pictures.

The Batman TV show was so popular (I could not stand it) that they made a movie out of it.
Before it could get to the theaters some movie company recut an old B&W Batman serial from the 1940s and released it as a motion picture. Lots of people went to the theater thinking it was the TV version and got took.

Really, would Adam West say to Julie Newmar, in a monotone voice, "let me insert my appendage into your cave"

I don't know.

Mods pull if you wish

Appearing on “Batman” became the “in” thing to do among the Hollywood crowd. Everybody wanted to be on the show. They added the window cameos as a way to accommodate the celebrities who wanted to be on Batman.

**This was one of the dumbest programs ever put on a TV screen. I even knew that as an 8 yr old.**

Yet the most realistic, in that (while not trying) it shows how corny the whole ‘superhero’ idea truly is: absurd and laughable throughout. The tv show was made to be ridiculous. The serious superhero movies help dumb people down.

The effort to be serious in superhero movies, and people can’t figure out where Batman’s hideout is??
