For the youngins out there, Charlton Heston starred in three dystopian movies, "Planet of the Apes", "The Omega Man", And "Soylent Green".
He was always known for dying at the end of his movies, except for "Planet of the Apes".
His character did die rescuing a fat Ava Gardner in "Earthquake", but that was a disaster movie and not a dystopian one.

Omega Man was an outstanding movie.

I don't know since Planet of the Apes II, was so forgettable, but Planet of the Apes III was a great movie.
Because of that movie I taped a flashlight under my Daisy BB gun when I went up into the attic to slay bats.

Earthquake was a disaster of a movie. What I know of La Gardner (anti Viet Nam War screamer and general all around evil bitch) she definitely should not have been rescued.

Based on I Am Legend by the great Richard Matheson. Hollyweird made at least three movies based on that novel, and many more movies based on other Matheson stories.

I always thought we’d go by EMP. But germ warfare is how China or the Soviets or the WEF will kill us. It’s simple, effective, and leaves the infrastructure intact. And we will let them do it.
