For years many conservatives (including me) have discussed the infamous “Tipping Point” in which people who will elect people to give them money will outstrip those of us who are providing the money.
This indicates we are somewhat past that “tipping point”.
Kind of like a cocaine addict. Just MORE of that money. Fix nothing.

A democrat friend with a PhD in pharmaceutical science told me he should have taken an Econ class in college because he had no idea how money supply leads to inflation. He’s not stupid. But he would probably support flooding the economy with more dollars because it sounds compassionate.

What even better is ... the checks go out and get spent, then the corporations, who the left says is actually responsible for the inflation, will have sustained demand for the products , thanks to govt intervention, these evil corps make hence driving up the prices of these things. The idea of higher rates is to slow demand, cool off inflation , as opposed to the artificial demand created by cheap credit.

I am getting a rebate check from the Commonwealth of MA this week. We overpaid $13B in taxes. There was an old state law that requires the state to send the overage back.
The Dems are pissed. They wanted to give the money “back to the people who needed it most.” So, instead of a rebate to people who actually paid taxes, they want to send it back to people who don’t pay taxes. The courts said, “No!”
I had $2,600 worth of damage done to my truck when someone backed into me. My rebate is going to cover that. I cannot think of anyone more needy than my bodywork guys.
