Michigan State Spartans head coach Mel Tucker made good on a promise to "take swift and appropriate action" after unsportsmanlike conduct turned violent in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Four MSU athletes have been suspended for their alleged involvement in the assaults on Michigan Wolverines players JaโDen McBurrows and Gemon Green.
On Sunday, Tucker announced that upon reviewing "disturbing electronic evidence collected to date," linebacker Itayvion Brown, cornerback Khary Crump, safety Angelo Grose, and defensive end Zion Young were suspended, "effective immediately."
The four athletes allegedly targeted McBurrows and Green in the Michigan Stadium tunnel after the Spartans' 29-7 defeat in Ann Arbor by the University of Michigan Wolverines.

I’m surprised that stadiums (which have had mega millions spent on them) don’t have separate access for the teams.
It might be physically impossible to add a separate tunnel. The Stadium seats over 113,000. Its not like you can move a couple bleachers or seats. What will probably happen is a protocol for egress and digress.
Amish attack?
I can live with someone getting clobbered by a helmet or being punched. BUT I draw the line at kicking them in the hallway! There are some places you just don’t kick someone.
This preludes the coming end of sports as we have known it. No sportsmanship, no civility, just thuggery. What is the point, the once purity of Amateur Sports is gone and has been for awhile. Everything has been corrupted.
Itayvion....
Itayvion be keepin it real...
lol
Violence like this has no place in the game of football, before or after the game. :)
There’s no sportsmanship in sports anymore.
Would the Alcom change if the game was hockey?
I’m not looking right away....let me guess.....
You know it’s college, right?
I do...I was commenting on another poster’s comment that they would be nfl material...
Yes, the good old days.
Correct. Probably the plan going forward in future. Especially in rivalry games.
Otherwise a great game. ๐
No couches were harmed in East Lansing. So we got that going for us.
Excellent College Football season so far, and looking forward to Tennessee v Georgia this Saturday.
The beaters and the beat-ees both. Wonder what the guy did/said on the field to make them so angry.
After the little brawl, watch the MSU players walk. They appear more boys in high school, and not the men that should be on the team.
The UF guy that got booted did a bunch of other stuff, too. Fighting with teammate in practice, etc.
The stadium was probably designed and built before diversity became mandatory.
