Is pepper spray or anything short of a gun useful against pit bulls?
In a pitty rage? No. They stop when you don’t move anymore. And they will wait to see if you do not move.
Pepper spray only works if you have someplace to retreat to. Inside, over a fence, top of car, inside a car. You also have to have time to retreat. Pepper spray is a distraction of about 10 seconds for a pit. Then they are even more enraged.
