With the Midterms fast approaching, Democrats are seizing on the hot topics they feel will help them cling to power. Now, they are placing their bets on abortion as the key issue to drive them to victory. But as the data pour in, Mark illustrates that, instead of being a hot topic, abortion is proving to be the Democrat's cold shower. Could this be the greatest election blunder in a lifetime?

You would think so in NevaDUH. Even though 24 weeks was put in the NevaDUH Revised Statutes by voters 30 years ago. No one can simply end it.
Maybe not the greatest, but way up there. I think, now that Roe has been overturned, as an issue it has become a really low priority compared to the economy and other immediately pressing matters (except among the most rabid anti-life activists).
Abortion isn’t even in the top 10 list of issues that Americans are worried about.
The liberal echo chamber to themselves its the only issue they can touch politically as they can’t touch the following

If abortion was a major issue for a voter they were going to vote Democrat anyway… the Dems thinking that issue was going to “save” then was always comical.
Might have moved the motivation needle on the left some, but that’s all.
Most people believe abortion is ending life and find it to be a negative thing, even if they don’t recognize that it is a human being killed.
Dems might see a tiny percentage bump in their base, but that issue alone isn’t going to move millions.

The biggest issue with the “abortion” tilting the election is the white hot anger that it triggered, particularly in the folks generally not politically involved is that it happened what? 5 months before the election.
All the knee jerk hyper reaction among apolitical women who may have shown up immediately following the ruling and voted in anger and fear... is past. Here it is, 5 months later, and nothings really changed in most places, the knee jerk anger has subsided, and while there may be some folks who will show up to vote against R’s simply because of Dobbs who weren’t in the voting pool before, that number is going to be a small fraction.. not some huge wave the Dems need.
Had the election been in July.. yes I would openly believe Dems would have been lifted by it... Now? Don’t see it moving the needle much.
Ads for Democrats in Minnesota for for state and national offices scream abortion and say nothing about issues that affect everyone like inflation and crime.
oh hell ya, almost every dem commercial in my state has ‘they have taken away womans reproductive healthcare’. So how is an abortion reproductive? askn fer a fren.
