“Single din” is the standard slot for a car stereo (before they became built in) which was the common standard in most cars circa 2000 and before. Double din is “two slot” high stereos - you started seeing them with the built in 6-CD changers and later larger screens.
DIN is a German standard for automotive accessories that fit into the dashboard. If something is DIN then it can fit into your dashboard without modifying it. You may have to remove something else to make room for the new device.
