After winking at QAnon for years, Donald Trump is overtly embracing the baseless conspiracy theory, even as the number of frightening real-world events linked to it grows.
On Tuesday, using his Truth Social platform, the Republican former president reposted an image of himself wearing a Q lapel pin overlaid with the words “The Storm is Coming.” In QAnon lore, the “storm” refers to Trump’s final victory, when supposedly he will regain power and his opponents will be tried, and potentially executed, on live television.
As Trump contemplates another run for the presidency and has become increasingly assertive in the Republican primary process during the midterm elections, his actions show that far from distancing himself from the political fringe, he is welcoming it.
He’s published dozens of recent Q-related posts, in contrast to 2020, when he claimed that while he didn’t know much about QAnon, he couldn’t disprove its conspiracy theory.

Conspiracy theories like “they’re spying on my campaign” or “Russian collusion is a hoax” or the Hunter Biden laptop NOT being “Russian disinformation”? Things the media has screamed loudly as being conspiracy theories keep proven to be true.
QAnon does nothing for me, but given a choice between listening to QAnon and your everyday Democrat, it is a no-brainer to which one to choose.

I enjoyed Q because of its emphasis on doing your own research. I get very itchy around people who know what real truth is and insist that I share that point of view. Never saw Q in that light. Some points seemed reasonable. Some points seemed crazy. But discussions with almost anyone have that same quality, whether Q-related or not, so it was fun interacting with fellow researchers.
And it became a family. Some of the relatives, admittedly, being crazy aunts and uncles but, the most being kind and wise elders who brought passion to the discussions and reassurance during times of anxiety.
And, most importantly, they always loved Trump the way I do.
People say it is impossible to prove a negative.

Seriously, we all know Trump tweeted on the fly (remember covfefe?) and probably retruths on the fly, too. He’s a very busy man. Does anyone really think he checks out the profile and other posts of those posting memes and images he retruths? He may well not have noticed that Q photoshopped onto that image.
As for the music, how do we know Trump picked it? Or knew it was some Q-related music if he did? Some Q follower or promoter may have sent it into to his campaign claiming it was music composed just for him and dedicated to him, and saying nothing about the Q connection.

As far as Qanon.... like even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Most of the Qanon stuff was useless. Some of it was predictive, but understanding the state of corruption of the FBI and Intelligence services, not that hard to figure out.
The two things that Trump open my eyes to was the intelligence (DHS, CIA, FBI, NSA) corruption and partisanship, and that our politicians are on the take from recycled money from the State Department.
