What's happening: Rick Scott has some good news for once. The chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, who has come under fire for the group's cash shortfall and clashes with Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, announced the results of a Wisconsin Senate poll at a Senate GOP lunch today.
The internal poll from the NRSC’s super PAC found Republican Sen. Ron Johnson leading Democratic challenger Mandela Barnes 49 percent to 45 percent, an NRSC aide told POLITICO. Barnes' favorable-unfavorable rating is 38 percent-41 percent, down from 43 percent-27 percent six weeks ago.
President Joe Biden’s favorable-unfavorable rating in the state, meanwhile, was 44 percent-52 percent in the poll.
Most of the latest public polls have shown Barnes ahead slightly, and NRSC ads in Wisconsin have painted Barnes as soft on crime.
I really don’t think America needs a Mandela.
People are sending their money directly to the candidates ...
yeah I noticed that name the other day ...
Golly Gee what a surprise!
Johnson is probably up 9 in real life. This shows the beginning of the end of this foolish psyops about a Black communist named Mandela, campaigning as a communist, beating Johnson.
Great news! Johnson is really good and we need the seat!
