A 19-year old man displayed a weapon at a Delray Beach McDonald’s last week because the store’s ice cream machine wasn’t working, police said.
Jerry Henry had an "AK-style rifle" as he entered the McDonald’s drive-thru Aug. 13, according to NBC affiliate WPTV.
Henry, the vehicle’s passenger, “became upset” upon learning that ice cream was unavailable at the McDonald’s on Linton Boulevard close to I-95.
He grabbed the gun, sending restaurant employees to seek cover in the bathroom.
Henry was arrested and there were no reported injuries.
An oldie but a goodie from 2017.
Come on, he was jusy trying to fix the machine with his pistol. He couldn’t help it if Everyone took it the wrong way
Good one!
No description of the perp, perhaps this Florida Man is Amish?
“No description of the perp, perhaps this Florida Man is Amish?”
Indeed. That is close to an iron-clad guarantee of the perp.
Could be wrong, of course...chances of wrong guess is around 1 in a quadrillion.
I knew that was coming!
The machines are “broken” because they’re a pain to clean. (pure laziness)
LoL - just read where employees will put “out of order” on ice cream machines in fast food restaurants because they are difficult to clean - and need to be cleaned every single night.
Correct! He was being innovative and trying to Build it Back Better, for God’s sake! C’mon, man!
Used to live there. The Plaza East 95 and Linton with the McDonalds, as well as Plaza at Military and Lowson are the easiest to access from the Ghetto.
I still remember the scene where a little black kid was showing him how to operate the rocket launcher.
Well I certainly hope McDonalds got the message....

How about we start identifying these people as either Florida Man, or Flo Rida Man?
The usual suspect. Another example of why Biden thinks white supremacists are the number one domestic terrorism threat.
I can almost sympathize. From the late 90s into the 00s there apparently wasnt a single reliable ice cream machine at any fast food place near here. There was an Arbys that had a non functional machine for just about that whole time.
When I cooked in restaurants I often saw this too. Oddly around 7PM the machine would always happen to conk out. Luckily this always gave the wait staff time to clean it before the end of the shift...
