We just love poking the Bear, don’t we? Before much more of that FAFO idiocy goes on, we’re going to be in serious danger of a takedown of our grid or worse. We’re playing in their backyard, in an area they consider vital to their security over the long term - and thus is a nation in demographic decline that knows it, that needs to achieve certain security goals before it is too late, and which has 6,000 nukes and a nuclear war WINNING doctrine and strategy…and we have a senile, traitorous, old coot nominally in charge. This isn’t going to work out well for us if we continue down this path.

Russia currently mainly shoots down (air defense) Su-25s.
Last month when the idea of NATO shipping aircraft to Ukraine came up and the Pentagon first made the point of only aircraft parts being provided pundits claimed the planes were being taken apart and shipped.
Later on one Telegram channel asserted that the Czech Republic had shipped 20 planes to Ukraine. Soon after that the lull in Russian shoot downs ended. And there are now frequent days when they take down two.

A-10s are not appropriate for the conditions in Ukraine, and they are also pretty much obsolete. I’m sure there are older generation drones that could do a much better job.
If they want to win, they have to fight this as an asymmetrical war. Use cheap, grass roots high tech — drones, web communications, etc. If they try to fight this like a WWII Russian/German tank and artillery war, they will eventually lose. Also, they have to hit the Russians IN RUSSIA — bridges, depots, pipelines, etc.
Looks like Brandon is holding back on the big platforms as carrots to get Ukraine to agree to a ceasefire and frozen conflict. The deal will be Ukraine will get F-16, long range missiles, etc. but only after a ceasefire.
The AF has been looking for a way to get rid of them since about the time they got them.
