I’m old enough to remember drinking a coke at a Drug Store soda fountain in my hometown when I was 5 and it was made right in front of you in a glass with coke syrup and seltzer . That was Coke !
Sodas were never “healthy” to begin with. But once they started down the saccharin, aspartame, and HFCS path, they convinced people that sodas made with these and other sugar substitutes were healthy/healthier.
