They are trained to respond to direction and specific orders.
In total, 376 law enforcement officers — a force larger than the garrison that defended the Alamo — descended upon the school in a chaotic, uncoordinated scene that lasted for more than an hour.
The only coos that mattered were the first 3 or 4.
These aren’t cops no more than people who play paintball are the military. Unbelievable.
376 to 1 -— that is incredible. The LEO response appears more and more outrageous as newly revealed facts are exposed.
And there are stories that one cop who tried to save his family was disarmed and removed. In that case it should have legal for the one cop to shoot the other ones.
Fortunately they have three pallets of water bottles at their feet, so they can stand around drinking water for hours ... while the kids and teachers inside are getting murdered.
Remember: The very most important thing, more important than anything else, is that they go home safely each night.

As long as they don’t do gun control, I don’t care how many kids get killed.
This is clearly a case where armed citizens would have done a better job. I say this as someone who normally “backs the Blue”.
Due to their ineffectiveness, they should have stood down and let the parents of the 500 students take over.
They just told on themselves.
If they can get that specific, they can report on (1) the training for each officer before the incident, (2) the persons that created obstacles in procedure, and (3) each officers’ understanding on where training + procedure went wrong.
