They were paid off. The details are out there if one cares to find it. I listened to interviews with people, recordings of the family etc. It was a few years ago, and I could find it if I wanted to, but why? Nobody believes anything anyway, and what does it matter?

A gang initiation hit at 4:00 AM is one possibility. I retired from IT a few years before his death so I know of the IT practices at the time. He wasn't an IT worker, but did have access to a voter data database. It highly unlikely he would have had direct access to any other servers. The DNC had their own IT staff and also had consultants from a firm based in Chicago and DC. I think it is plausible he knew something and was taken out, but I doubt he we was the Wikileaks mule..
Just how much have they been paid? One would think they would want to know the truth.
The very fact that they seem to have little interest in getting to the truth suggests yet another conspiracy theory...that they have been threatened or paid off by the Clinton machine.

They are the comments of people who have either been paid off or threatened.

Oddities about the Rich case have been reported ever since his murder. What is brought up by the alternate press keeps getting demeaned while never directly acknowledged by the main stream press. No real details are admitted or discussed while the conspiracy narrative is attacked. People will ask the obvious question about what happened and why the case is handled the way it is.
It was speculated that the parents appreciate the connection between their discretion and the longevity of their younger, who some speculate was involved in file transmission. I can see why the Riches would prefer all the talk go away.

The idea is that he was a dissatisfied Bernie Bro who decided to turn on his employers. Nobody has proven that. If his family knew or thought that wasn’t the case, they weren’t going to buy the conspiracy theories. All the more so, since the people who come after grieving families with conspiracy theories aren’t often the most reputable people.
His parents don’t want to end up like their son.
