Just do it. Very American. Oh, and be sure to install a really good fire extinguishing system. Lots of ferals on the loose these days.

Feds will delay permits; wackos will take them to court; it will be 2050, if then, before a spade of dirt is moved.

The $1.1 billion project could help address the Biden administration's concerns about rising food prices and a lack of competition in the meat sector...That is nauseating. It sounds like they are going to make this big investment to make Brandon happy. Is there a more important goal in American life than making Brandon happy?
Of course, Brandon will probably be very unhappy because we are all supposed to be eating insect protein by 2026 and not consume methane belching and methane farting cows. Brandon won't be able to catch is Great White Whale of destroying America if a new meat plant is built.

The FDA, DOL, and USDA seem to conspire against anyone trying to compete in this market.

Unless he has developed a way for industrial robots to do the work, his biggest hurdle will be finding enough workers to butcher 8,000 head of cattle per day without resorting to hiring illegals.

My son just took meat production at college this past semester. Thanks for posting this. He might hit them up for a job after graduation.
