I plan on going to see part of this wall in about 6 weeks time as I will be visiting family in the area.

After seeing the headline, I wondered how some of Pfizer’s litigation paperwork ended over there.

Uneducated, backward people always migrate and attempt to settle near the more sophisticated and civilized. They know that they will live better.

Be ready to be disappointed. I excepted something similar to The Great Wall. Not!

Actually, a lot of The Great Wall is not that impressive either.

Yes, the Picts gave the Romans a very hard time, mostly because they fought asymmetrically, fierce guerilla warfare. The walls were to establish some kind of boundary between them and Rome. Didn’t seem to help much.

“Whether this would have deterred a threat from the northern tribes invading from Caledonia is unknown, with some scholars suggesting that the wall served to provide a means of immigration control and customs for taxation.”
At least they had a wall which is more than we can say for our current worthless libtard establishment 🤪

Not even that, really. The place I saw was about an 18” tall stack of rubble. It’s really supposed to be a “line in the sand”. Actually, I heard that it wasn’t to keep the Romans in, but to keep the Scots out, symbolically. The Romans wanted no part of them!

When you are there check out the local buildings. Most of the stone work was taken from the wall. At one site a three story
Inn/Pub about 1/2 mile away was built 150 years ago using the stone work. Most of the farm buildings and houses the same way all along the wall.

Not really that uncommon everywhere. The old ruins are a great source of building material all over the world.
Coliseum in Rome is the biggest example.
Why not. Recycle!!!

I have read history. There was no civilization north of Hadrian’s Wall. You must believe this. Plus, those people north of the wall were not reproducing, therefore there cannot be any descendants running around these days. I have checked YouTube and my assertion is clearly true.
