Probably the most under rated Who album.

Great album. My favorite.

Townsend’s created demos to provide the band so they could record it. His demo of love reign over me is pretty remarkable and somewhat close to the finished product.

I think The Who Sell Out is their most underrated.

It wasn’t, and isn’t, underrated by me.

In college (77-83, I was a co-op and got a masters degree), I would drive about 6 hours home to see my parents, probably 4-6 times a year. It became a ritual for me to listen to Quadrophenia straight thru on cassette for at least one of the trips (going or coming back), if not both.

Is there a better bass line anywhere than Entwhistle’s on The Real Me?
