Mimi Reinhardt, who drew up lists for German industrial Oskar Schindler that helped save hundreds of Jews during the Holocaust, has died aged 107, her family said Friday.
As Schindler's secretary, Reinhardt was in charge of drawing up the lists of Jewish workers from the ghetto of the Polish city of Krakow who were recruited to work at his factory, saving them from deportation to Nazi death camps.
"My grandmother, so dear and so unique, passed away at the age of 107. Rest in peace," Reinhardt's granddaughter Nina wrote in a message to relatives.
Austrian-born Reinhardt, herself a Jew, was recruited by Schindler himself and worked for him until 1945.

Whoever said ‘only the good die young’, obviously never met or knew of this wonderful lady. She was much deserving of the long life she lived and the world was a better place because of her.
RIP
Somewhat related — Robert Clary (Hogan’s Heroes) is 96. He was at Buchenwald and lost most of his family in the Holocaust. It’s good to see survivors have long lives. This lady made it to 107. Pretty impressive.
Nehemiah Persoff also just passed. He was born in Jerusalem in 1919, served in the US army in WWII and made it to 102.
Robert Clary (born Robert Max Widerman; March 1, 1926) is a French-American actor, singer, author, artist, and lecturer. He is best known for his role in the television sitcom Hogan's Heroes as Corporal Louis LeBeau.
Ben Kingsley, played her role in the movie?
Werner Klemperer and Leon Askin (Berkhalter) were also Jewish. Those guys sure had a good sense of humor.
Leon Askin was my favor actor in that series.
Ben Kingsley played Itzhak Stern, his bookkeeper and “Operations Officer”. In the movie, Schindler’s secretary was chosen from a bevy of beauties who auditioned for the job.
RIP
It was his great voice! I wonder if Klink ever married his beautiful sister Gertruda.
If I could have chosen to have had lunch with anyone, she would have been a good choice, assuming she did not mind speaking about her experiences.
Wikipedia says that the actor who played Major Hochstetter was Jewish as well.

Yes and his laugh. I don’t know about marriage.
Werner Klemperer was a fine musician with a good singing voice. Here are Klemperer and Banner singing Silent Night in German.

Klemperer only took the Klink role on the guarantee that the character would come across as a bumbling fool.
Great You Tube performance with little Le Beau coming in at the end! As you probably know, Klink was almost as lovable as Sgt. Schultz.
Yep. In his own way Klink was an endearing loser.
Klemperer actually told his father he didn’t want the part, he wanted nothing to do with portraying a Nazi. His father merely asked him if he wanted someone to get the role that would portray Klink differently.
I really like the scenes where Klink is butchering the violin. One one hand Klemperer the classic violinist must have hated it. On the other hand Klemperer the entertainer must have loved it.
RIP.
Isn’t his brother the famous orchestra conductor Otto Klemperer? Were they really Jewish?
Otto Klemperer was his father.
His mother was soprano Johanna Geisler.
His grandmother, from Hamburg, was a Sephardic Jew. Yes, they were really Jewish.
Otto Klemperer was a first cousin of German diarist Victor Klemperer who wrote in his journals about life in the German Empire, the Third Reich and the German Democratic Republic. Published in 1995 his journals, especially the Reich years, are considered golden by writers and academics.
