For more detail go to the link and click on the image for a high definition image. You can then move the magnifying glass cursor then click to zoom in and click again to zoom out. When zoomed in you can scan by moving the side bars on the bottom and right side of the image.

I climbed a water tower in high school to watch comet Kahoutech(?). It ended up cloudy.

It wasn’t Comet West in 1975, but, it was a GREAT comet!

When we were dating, I took my wife out to dinner and then we took photos of the comet. She didn’t complain. I figured she was a keeper at that point.

The comet in the spring of 1970, Comet Bennett, was amazing. I remember seeing it with a tail that seemed to cover half the early morning sky. There’s not been one with a bigger display since - that I know of, anyway.
